Non Toxic Toys  - How we choose

Little Green Tree House is committed to procuring innovative, non-toxic toys for all age groups. The purchase process is complicated as we are institution rather than a home.We use over 90 different vendors to procure our toys not just one or two warehouse supply stores.  Parameters are set in a very thoughtful concise way but everything is Non-Toxic, PVC and Phalate Free.

• Step 1 - What is needed or wanted?

• Step 2 - Find the Greenest possibility - sustainable wood, good manufacturing practices, local, reclaimed...

• Step 3 - Will the product stand up to repeated use and abuse?

• Step 4 - How will we sanitize?

• Step 5 - Cost? 

•             All balls or soft plastic toys are PVC and Phalate free

• Most of our toys are untreated wood; those with color are proven to be lead free

• We have found many unique toys made in Germany and Switzerland

• If a product is intended to be put in a child's mouth, even stricter evaluation is assessed for the purchase of item
